Sumeet started his career at a regional drug wholesaler as the head of special projects including state licensing and software ERP implementation. He moved on to take a leadership role at a regional, full-line pharmaceutical distributor with responsibilities spanning purchasing, sales, operations, and finance. With the 2015 implementation of the DSCSA, Sumeet gained expertise in all aspects of the federal law as he led the creation and implementation of new processes and systems. Sumeet founded his first start-up in 2015: OpenRX, a described “Amazon” for pharmaceuticals. He sold this company to an operating private equity firm just 12 months after inception.
In late 2015, Sumeet founded Five Rivers RX. Drawing on the relationships and knowledge he cultivated at the helm of a distribution company, Sumeet is able to bring a unique “boots on the ground” understanding of the industry. With over 200 clients spanning everything from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups across 15 different business models, Five Rivers RX has established itself as a go-to resource throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Sumeet Singh has been published in trade publications including Pharmaceutical Commerce and has spoken at events including American Conference Institute Controlled Substances Summit, IQPC Pharmaceutical Traceability Forum, and Chain76.
Vinu is an experienced healthcare attorney with a significant background in the pharmaceutical & healthcare provision sectors. He has advanced expertise in the areas of the anti-kickback statute, corporate compliance, Federal & State regulatory matters, fraud & abuse, government affairs, group purchasing organizations, healthcare M&A, 340b issues, pharmaceutical distribution, and privacy/HIPAA.
Benjamin has extensive experience in strategic commercialization, sales, marketing, and distribution aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. He is a knowledgeable, self-reliant, hands-on executive with experience from start-ups to restructuring, as well as with launching companies into the United States market. His developed experiential skillset extends from international manufacturing to sales, marketing, and consulting, to cross-functional team leadership.
